Doris Durling
DURLING, Doris Evelyn – 89 of West Inglisville passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Timmins, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Flora (Naugler) Whynot. Doris was employed with B.G. Oickle Dry Goods of New Germany for 8 years and she later worked for C.R. Beals Meats & Groceries, Lawrencetown for 20 years. Doris loved the outdoors and enjoyed painting and rug hooking. Together with her late husband, Raymond they had a farm in West Inglisville where they raised beef cattle. Doris is survived by her sister, Marion (Claude) Lowe, Lawrencetown and nieces and nephews, Cindy (Harold) Young, Halifax; Scott Lowe, Rankin Inlet; Linda (Michael) McKenna, Lawrencetown; Andrew Lowe, West Inglisville; Tony (Tracy) Lowe, Brookfield; David (Charlene) Lowe, Rankin Inlet; Paula (Trevor) Hiltz, Aylesford and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond and niece, Jill Vidito. By Doris’ request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Sunday, August 25, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Donations in memory of Doris may be made to Fairview Cemetery or a charity of choice.
