MELANSON, LAURA - 1930 - 2013 - Laura Melanson, 82, of Petit-Cap, passed away on Wednesday, August 14th, 2013 at her residence. Born November 19th, 1930 in Petit-Cap, she was the daughter of the late Honoré and Eva (Arsenault) Melanson. She will be sadly missed by her four sons: Paul (Pauline) and Aris (Helene) both of Petit-Cap, Azor (Barbara) of Shediac and Kenneth (Rita Petitpas) of Grand-Barachois; two sisters: Sara Vautour of Cap-Pelé and Cecile Bernier of Grand-Sault; a brother, Dosithé Leger (Albertine) of Petit-Cap; two grandchildren: Derek and Travis; three great-grandchildren: Damien, Noah and Connor, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Napoléon (1982); a grandson, Shawn; four sisters: Alexina, Catherine, Dina and Léontine; four brothers: Léandre, Camille, Aurèl and Adelard.
As per her request, there will be no visitation or funeral mass. A private grave side service was held at St-Thimothée R.C. cemetery in Shemogue. In Laura’s memory, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
