It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Rose McNeil, on Aug. 23, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in New Waterford, Rose was the daughter of the late Eugene and Theresa (MacIssac) Roach.
Rose is survived by her loving husband, Walter McNeil; son, Stephen (Nadine), Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Kole and Logan; sisters, Dorothy Neville, Cathy (Paul) Doyle and twin sister, Eileen (John) Cashen, all of New Waterford; brothers, Frank (Wanda), Coxheath, Billy (Roxanne) Roach, London, Ont.; stepmother, Reynelda Roach; stepbrother, Tim (Terri-Lynn), Dwayne (Heather) and Ronnie Spencer.
Rose was a person who loved crafts and making special cakes. She liked sewing and knitting, but the most important thing to her was her family. Rose had also worked for Pharmasave for five years.
Cremation has taken place and a mass to celebrate Rose’s life will be held in the Parish of Saint Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating followed by a luncheon at the parish hall, Convent Street, all are welcomed.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500.
