BOLIANATZ- Elizabeth Nancy Bolianatz, 82, was born July 21, 1931. She passed away August 22, 2013 at the Swift Current Hospital. The funeral service in celebration of Elizabeth's life is on August 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Anglican Church with Reverend Jonathon Hoskin officiating. Eulogist - Dale Slusar. Pallbearers are all her dear friends in life. Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters. Debra (Rick) Knox, children - Rickele and Grace Knox, Ryan Knox. Barbara (Richard) Cote, children - Rebecca (Adam) Anderson, Clark and Tyson Anderson. Tachelle (Matt) Kirkpatrick and Lorelei Kirkpatrick. Michelle (Dale) Slusar, children - Cade Slusar and Jackie Zaba, Charis Slusar. Elizabeth, (Betsy) was born third to a family of 12 children. Joe, Leo, Elizabeth, Marion, baby boy Edward died in infancy, Corinne, Ed, Armand, Agnes, Albert, Louise, John and Fritz. Elizabeth was pre-deceased by Joe in June, 2012 and Armand in March 1951. Elizabeth's parents were - Alfred Lasante - deceased December 1976, her mother Madeleine Lasante in October 2001. She was pre-deceased by Martin Elkink, (first husband, father of her children), in March 1998. Also pre-deceased by second husband Jack Bolianatz from Shaunavon December 2000. Elizabeth attended school in Ponteix and Cadillac area and graduated in 1951. She taught in Consul from 1951 to 1954. She married Martin Elkink on June 7, 1956 and together they had three daughters. Elizabeth loved sewing and worked at Pfaff Sewing Centre. Many memories are had by family of Elizabeth sewing late in to the night. Elizabeth married Jack Bolianatz in January, 1980. Jack was given a violin by his mother in law Madeleine Lasante. This began a love of fiddling music for both Jack and Betsy. Jack was a Navy Veteran and he and Elizabeth attended many Navy Reunions. During this time Elizabeth was employed at Shaunavon Ability Centre as their first Administrator. This year the ability centre is celebrating their 30th Anniversary something she really wanted to attend. Later Elizabeth also substitute taught at Hutterite Colonies. After Jack's passing Elizabeth moved to Swift Current where she resided until her passing. Elizabeth's family meant everything to her especially her grandchildren and to her delight - her great grandchildren. Elizabeth loved nieces, nephews, stepchildren and extended family. Elizabeth had a good friend from Golden West Manor, Bob Anderson. They enjoyed crossword puzzles, suppers, visiting family and keeping each other company. Elizabeth will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. As the oldest sister she is remembered as a second mother to her siblings. Her daughters remember her as being a lady, immaculate, hard working, dedicated, supportive and always ready for a good laugh. All who knew her will miss her beauty inside and out.
