Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, Stanley Herbert Breen, age 74. Predeceased by his mother and father, Molly and Herbert and infant sister Joan. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories, his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty), three children: Joanne (Shunne) Leung, Rod (Arlene) Breen, Kelly (Peter) Cyr. Also leaving to mourn are his grandchildren: Connor, Devin, Luke, Molly, Ian and Charlotte, his brother Gordon and family and a large circle of family and friends. Stan was an accomplished athlete in many sports. He held provincial records and won many championships and scoring titles. His athletic career culminated with his induction into the Newfoundland and Labrador Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997. Stan adored his six grandchildren. He was a powerful life force that will be missed by all who knew him. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Wednesday, August 28th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, August 29th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from St. Thomas Anglican Church on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Interment to follow in the Anglican cemetery on Forest Road.
