Alison (Aly) Walsh
Passed on: August 27th, 2013
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful and beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Alison Walsh on August 27, 2013, at the young age of 25 years. Leaving to mourn her parents Fred and Mary Walsh of Torbay; brother John; sister Susan (Billy) Kennedy and niece Calla; grandmother Susan Walsh; aunts and uncles: Doris (Harris) Scott, Tom (Theresa) Collins, Jim (Betty) Walsh, Linda (Tom) Doody; cousins and friends. Her horse Tinker, her trusted canine companion Rocky, and her much-loved cat Mickey will also dearly miss her. Alison radiated beauty both within and without. She was a loving daughter, cherished sister, and loyal friend. Alison was passionate about causes dear to her heart, especially those involving animals. She volunteered as a young teen with Rainbow Riders, and also at the Torbay Newfoundland Pony Project. She fostered animals for Heavenly Creatures. Alison was an accomplished equestrian, winning several awards for her skill with horseback riding. Most recently she and Tinker participated in a horseback ride to raise funds for breast cancer. She had hoped to begin a career in nursing in September. All those who knew and loved her are so very grateful for her journey through their lives.
