HUNTER, VELLA A. - 1925 - 2013 - The death of Vella Audrey Hunter of Florenceville, occurred on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born December 15, 1925 in Florenceville, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Tompkins) Davis and wife of the late William Hunter. She was also predeceased by a sister, Greta Allison and an infant brother, Douglas. Vella is survived by her three children, Patricia Sewell (Gerald), Rosalyn Grant (Brian) and George Hunter; four grandchildren, Kenneth Brown, Geoffrey Sewell (Lisa), Sherri Lynn Hicks (Keith) and William Hunter; three great grandchildren, Kyle and Rachael Hicks and Emma Sewell; four siblings, Patricia Fawcett, Colleen Sparks, Jack Davis and Robert Davis and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, August 31, from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mary Taylor will officiate. Interment will be in the Hunter Cemetery.
