RUTH LAROCHE

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Ruth Gertrude La Roche. Mom was surrounded by her family as she passed away peacefully at the Victoria Union Hospital on Thursday, August 29th - her 84th Birthday.

Ruth was born on August 29th, 1929 in Birch Hills, SK. On December 13th, 1947 she married Vernon La Roche who loved and adored her completely until her final moments. Together they raised a devoted family of six.

Ruth was a true matriarch and an amazing wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, auntie and friend. There are many words to describe the beautiful woman she was. Loyal, strong, faithful, humble and funny. She had many talents…a baker, cook, gardener, homemaker, nurse, teacher, master knitter and crocheter. Mom enjoyed simple pleasures and loved her family very much. We want to say” thank you mom” for the life you made possible for our family.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband Vernon of 65 years, her 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
