Haley Nicole Wheaton, age 16, of Centre Burlington, Hants County. It was with great sadness and heavy hearts we announced the passing of our beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter and niece, Haley Nicole Wheaton. Born on October 11, 1996, in Kentville, Kings County, Nova Scotia, she passed away suddenly from a motor vehicle accident on Monday, September 2, 2013. Haley is survived by her parents, Greg Wheaton (Gayla), Lower Burlington and Jennifer Sanford (Wayne), Centre Burlington; her brother, Michael Sanford (Ericka Fletcher), Three Mile Plains; paternal grandparents, Sonny Wheaton, Cheverie; Margaret (Bill) Thrun, Ontario; maternal grandparents, Graham Sanford (Doris Lunn), Centre Burlington, Debbie Sanford, Windsor; great grandparents, Norman McLellan, Cambridge; Ralph and Debbie Sanford, Brooklyn; Gloria Spencer, Windsor. Haley was a grade 11 student at the Avon View High School, Windsor. She will be missed by her fur babies, Penny and Momma dog, and her lifelong friend, Smokey the cat. Haley was predeceased by her great grandmother, Jessie “Nan” McLellan; great grandparents, Cleve and Mary Crossley; Cecil and Violet Wheaton. Visitation was 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Garnet Parker officiated, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street. Burial will be held at a later date.
