Timothy Bruce Brown

LANSDOWNE STATION – Timothy Bruce Brown, 60, of Lansdowne Station and formerly of Trenton, passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care unit of the Aberdeen Hospital early on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his beloved wife by his side.
Born on May 25, 1953 in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Shirley Ann (Brown) Foster.
He spent many years as a heavy equipment operator/truck driver, until his health forced him to retire. Tim enjoyed spending many hours working in his garage and weekends browsing yard sales with his wife Kay and hanging out with his little fur-family.
Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and cousin.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Kay (Harris); daughter, Heather (Doug Haskins), St. Catherine’s, ON.; son Edward, BC; sisters Darlene (Kerry Skidmore), New Glasgow, Kym (Neil), Stellarton; brothers Billy Foster, Florida, and Tony, New Glasgow; grandsons: Brady, Hayden and Lucas; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother he was predeceased by his grandmother, Daisy Brown and his step-father, William Foster Sr.
There will be a celebration of Tim’s life at the Union Center Community Center, on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 2-4 p.m. Per Tim’s wishes there will be no funeral services. He has generously donated his remains to Dalhousie University to assist in cancer research.
Donations in Tim’s memory may be made to L.O.R.D.A. park in Lansdowne.
