Albert James MacIntyre, age 83 of Halifax, passed away Sept. 9, 2013 at Victoria General Hospital.
Born in Sydney, N.S., he was the son of the late Allan and Lila MacIntyre. Albert worked for the Cape Breton Post for 46 years. He was a loving husband of 63 years, Loving father and grandfather. He was a member of the United Baptist Church in Sydney. He was a member of the Kinsmen. He loved to fish and hunt. Survived by his wife, June (Mollon) MacIntyre; daughters, Donna (Mike) of Enfield, Ruthanne (Albert) of Halifax, Lydia (Donald) of Marion Bridge; sons, Ronnie of Ottawa, Jerry of Halifax; sisters, Hazel and Marion; brother, Jerry; grandchildren, Janice, Jennifer, Graeme, June, and Steven, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by parents; brother, Jack and grandson, Christopher.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (455-0531) with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Association.
