It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Terry Tighe on Sept. 8, 2013, at home.
Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Jackie and Becky (Laffin) Tighe.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, New Victoria.
Terry will always be remembered by his family and friends as being kind with a pure heart and a beautiful sense of humour. His passions were his love of his family, his daughter Tara and grandson Alex, whom he adored immensely. Terry was known for his love of old cars, music and guitar. He was a member of Local 682 Pipefitters Union and traveled all over Canada with his brother Pat, family and friends, as a pipefitter/rigger.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Tara Parr; grandson, Alex; sister, Donna; brothers, Patty (Annette), Peter, Jackie, Wayne (Selena) and best friend and brother Tommy; many nieces and nephews.
Terry was predeceased by his parents, Jackie and Becky (Laffin) Tighe, sister, Diane MacEachern and brother, Chrissy Tighe.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, New Victoria.
