It is with great sadness that the families of Joyce P. Cumby announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility, in Corner Brook, NL, on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013, in her 77th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Nelson Jr. (Donna), Lloyd (Alvena), Gladys (Bruce), Rick (Beverly), Jim (Ruby), Brenda (Karl), 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, her brothers: Jack (Myra) Reid and Ronald (Gwyneth) Reid, her daughters-in-law; Marilyn Cumby and Claudette Reid, brother-in-law: Harold and sister-in-law Ethel. Also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Nelson Cumby, her sons: Wayne, Wilson (Sandra), and Gary Reid, parents: John & Violet Reid, her sister Sadie Hurley, parents-in-law; Lemuel & Sarah Cumby, brothers-in- law: Stanley, Arthur, Maxwell, and Orestus, and sister-in-law Gladys. Visitation will take place from the Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Church in Howley today Wednesday, September 11th, 2013, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and continuing on Thursday, September 12th, 2013 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. from where also the funeral service will take place on Friday, September 13th, 2013, at 2: pm with Pastor David Gifford and Major Wayne Pike, officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Howley, NL.
