Jennifer Grabove
GRABOVE, JENNIFER LYNN PhD - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Jennifer, age 37, after her incredibly, courageous battle with breast cancer. "Jenn" was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, lived in Riverview, New Brunswick, Regina Saskatchewan, Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Sheffield, England and more recently in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received her Hon BA in English and History from University of New Brunswick in Saint John and completed her doctorate work in medieval history at the University of Hull, England. Jenn followed her passion and stayed true to herself. She saw the best in people. Jenn loved to read, and was a life-long learner. She wrote fiction under her pen-name, Jennifer Greylyn. Most recently Jenn taught the History of Childhood: The European Experience at Mount St. Vincent University, and had also taught previously at St. Mary's University and King's College. She loved interactive discussions with her students. She is survived by her close friend Seth, her parents Susan and Glenn Grabove, her brother Matthew, her sister-in-law Melanie, her grandmother Laura Grabove, (Pelham, Ontario) her uncle Gary Maston, (Fredericton), her aunt Valerie Grabove,(Fonthill, Ontario) and her aunt Jayne Breault, (Port Coquitlam, BC). The family would like to thank the medical staff at the QE II Health Sciences Centre, and IWK Women's Health Clinic, in particular Dr. Maureen Nolan, Dr Lucy Helyer, Dr. Mark Doreen, Dr. Warren Fieldus, Dr. Chris Graham and Dr. Paul McIntyre.
