COOK, DENNIS IVAN - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Dennis Cook of Charters Settlement, formerly of Moores Mills, NB on Tuesday September 10, 2013. He was 56 years young. Dennis fought a courageous and long battle with cancer. Dennis was well loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Lise (née Levesque) and his daughters Jennifer (Nick McGloin) of Dalhousie, NB and Jessica (Evan Embree) of Fredericton, NB, his brother Roger (Wendy) Cook, of Saint John, NB and several aunts, cousins and nieces/nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Louise Cook. He was a graduate of St. Stephen High School and a UNB Forest Engineer. Dennis worked for 19 years with J.D. Irving Limited Woodlands Division prior to starting his own logging and land management consulting business, Ridell Holdings Ltd. Dennis’ life was governed by a love of adventure. He loved the outdoors and travelling with his family. There was nothing he enjoyed more than having a few beer and sharing good laughs with family and friends. Dennis’ outlook was such that there was nothing that you could not achieve if you put your mind to it. He instilled within his family the great belief that anything was attainable if you follow your dreams.
Visitations will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday September 13, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the New Maryland Centre at 11:00 am followed by a reception. Reverend Kelly Burke will be officiating.
