NICKERSON, Raymond Oliver - 85, Parksville, B.C., passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox, B.C. on Sunday September 15, 2013. Born November 15, 1927 on Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Freeland and Matilda (Perry) Nickerson. Raymond is survived by his son Keith (Laurie) Nickerson, his daughter Karen (Kerry) Owen, daughter Kathryn (George) Kowalchuk, son Kevin (Karen) Nickerson as well as eight grandchildren, and three great grandsons. He is also survived by brother Ellsworth Nickerson; sisters Alice Ruse, Bette Taunton, and Edna (Herman) Gavel. As per his wishes, there will be no service or flowers. Donations may be made to a charity of choice on his behalf.
