WILSON, RONALD MALCOLM - December 4, 1918 - September 21, 2013 - After a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, Ron has left this world to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 94. Born in Plymouth, NB, he is survived by his loving wife Florence (nee Bell), and children Mary Lee McKenna (Bruce), Gary (Gwen), Stephen (Terry), Brent (Marie), Kent (Brandi), Annette, daughter-in-law, Carole; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, brothers Leonard and Claire (Phyllis) and sister, Margaret Martin (Robert); many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents L. Gladwyn and Sabra (Henderson), his first wife Catherine (Chris) Christenson, his son Andrew, sister Ruth Patterson, and brother David , sisters-in-law Pearl Wilson, Nellie Wilson, and brother-in-law Coburn Patterson. Ron served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII before raising his family of seven children. Ron loved all sports including curling, golf, badminton, and especially baseball, where he was one of New Brunswick’s elite senior pitchers. He was also an outdoor enthusiast with a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. But above all, he loved his family and Christ, his Saviour.
Visitation from The Culberson Funeral Home on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service for Ronald Wilson will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11:00 am from Woodstock Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Cousins officiating. Interment to follow at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery, Jackson Falls. The ANAVETS Tribute service will be held on Monday evening at 6:30 from the Funeral home.
