SANIPASS, ALFRED - (1950 - 2013) - ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Alfred Sanipass, 63, of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late John Sanipass and late Mildred Clement. He was employed as a fisherman for 25 years. Alfred was a four time New England Golden Glove Champion and he was also inducted into the Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame 1990. Alfred will be sadly missed by his wife; Wanda (Augustine) Sanipass of Elsipogtog, two daughters; Patricia Ann Sock (Peter George), Tricia Lynn (Robert Sanipass), two sons; Bert Sanipass (Tanya Lafford), Richard Doucet, eight grandchildren; Rainier, Aaron, Lindsay, Donnie, Hailie, Carlton, Baby Al, Keifer and three great grandchildren; Christian, Mia and Tia. Alfred was also survived by eight sisters; Mary Ann Clair, Georgina Peters (Herb), Connie Sanipass, Sheila Sock (Ronald), Ann Marie Sanipass, Mary Catherine Sanipass, Claudia Sanipass, Margaret Ann Sanipass, three brothers; Joe (Marion), Donald (Angel), Darren (Nancy) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son; Donnie and two brothers; Don Bosco and Thomas Carl.
Resting at his home, 272 Big Cove Road, Elsipogtog beginning on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm, St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
