Allan Francis Gillis, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2013.
Born in Big Pond, Allan was the son of the late Bernard Joseph and Margaret Cameron (MacNeil) Gillis of Sydney.
Allan served with the RCAF for 25 years and then was employed by IMP in Dartmouth until retirement.
Allan is survived by his wife, Lillian Ruth (O'Neill); daughter, Diane Elizabeth, of Aberdeen; sister, Dianne (Norm) Ferguson; brothers, Neil (Sandra), Gordon (Patricia) all of Sydney; Stanley (Ellen) of Uxbridge, ON; sister-in-law, Joan, Boston and many nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, Bernie and Marg, Allan was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Stephen, Boston; brother, Allan Phillip; sister, Joan Marie both in infancy; his son, Christopher Joseph, and infant grandson, Sean.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
