Rosemary Delehanty-Scholl
Passed on: September 26th, 2013
DELEHANTY-SCHOLL, ROSEMARY - 1941 - 2013 - Rosemary passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, September 26. Born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, Rosemary was the daughter of Beatrice (O'Hara) and Francis Delehanty. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Edward, and by her siblings, John Francis and Michael Thomas Delehanty. She will be sorely missed by her children, Sarah, Amy and Conor and by her siblings: Ken (Kerri), Ted (Joan), Memorie (Mike), Shane (Cathy), sister-in-law, Nancy, and many nieces and nephews. Rosemary taught elementary children for several years for the Peel District School Board and upon retirement, decided to pursue her artistic passion. Through both her realistic and abstract work, use of various media and of vibrant colours, she was able to successfully trigger a recollection or an emotion in the viewer. A strong, loving and creative individual, she was a role model to many in both life and art. The world somehow seems less colourful without her.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at St. John's Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ian Anderson House http://www.ianandersonhouse.com/ or Heart House Hospice http://www.hearthousehospice.com/ Condolences may be viewed and left at www.tranquilitycremation.com
