Joyce Marie Jackson - 86, of Kentville, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Shannex Orchard Court, Kentville. Born in Mahone Bay, she was a daughter of the late Cater and Nellie (Colpitts) Windsor. She was a homemaker and pastor's wife, assisting with church business and accounting at the many churches they served. She had been employed with Irving Oil as a secretary for three years. Together with her husband, she assisted in the organization of the first "Teen Challenge" in the United States in 1965. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lay and Ruth Scott, both of Kentucky; five grandchildren, Christy, Kimberly, Michael, Amanda and Andrew; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Sherwood, British Columbia and Ruth Bailey, Saint John, New Brunswick; two brothers, George (Emily) Windsor, New Minas and Bruce Windsor, Ontario; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service and reception at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Robert Cross officiating. Burial will take place in the Canard Burial Ground. Donations in memory may be made to Feed the Children.
