It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Russell of William’s Harbour, NL, (Dec. 1, 1940 – Aug. 31, 2013) announce his passing at the Labrador South Health Centre in Forteau on Aug. 31, 2013 at the age of 72 years. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Alton and grandson David. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 47 years Vera Russell (Burden); his five children Perry Burden (Paula), Darryl Russell, Marilyn Russell (Junior), Denise Russell (Derek), and James Russell Jr. (Colette); two sisters Greta Russell (late Leonard) and Ann Flynn (Dennis). He was loved and adored by his five grandchildren Shannon, Jimmy, Toby, Amy, and Stephanie, and one great-grandson Hunter, all of whom he cherished. Visitation was held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, William’s Harbour on Monday, Sept. 2. The funeral service took place on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with Rev. Jeffery Petten officiating. Interment followed at St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, L’Anse au Loup.
