George Fougere Jr
Passed on: September 30th, 2013
FOUGERE, George William, Junior – 45, of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013. George was a wonderful father who cared deeply for his children – they were his life’s breath. He loved his motorcycle rides – followed closely by football, the Blue Jays, and walking his land. He was a great story-teller with a sharp sense of humour; a man of the people – down to earth. George took time to know who you were and so he touched the hearts of many. He also loved the “Boss” (Springsteen), using Google translate with his kids to explore languages, C100, the open road, building toys, and cooking (at all hours of the night). He is survived by his daughters, Morgan Fougere-MacKinnon, Amber Rose Fougere, and Abigail Lynn Fougere; grandchild Catherine MacKinnon; mother Patricia Pero (Lorne); father George Fougere (Sylvia); sisters, Janet Fougere (Joe Salazar) and Karen Fougere (John Lohnes); brothers, Rene Fougere (Janine) and Kirk Fougere. Visitation took place on Wednesday, October 2 from 7-9 p.m. at the H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral service was held at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3rd, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiated. Memorial donations can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. You may leave messages of condolence or sign the online guestbook by visiting www.huskilson.net
