RICHARD, Claudia M. – age 100, St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax, formerly of Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the home. Born October 24, 1912 in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late Pius and Erite LeBlanc. Claudia is survived by sons, George (Rachelle), Halifax, and Robert (Katherine), California; grandchildren, Mark, Jeremy, Renee, Nicolette, Danielle; great grandchildren, Sara and Austin, as well as by a sister, Lorraine LeBlanc, and a brother, Eugene. Aside from her parents, Claudia was predeceased by her husband, Dennis; brothers, Percy, Hector, Edmund, Gordon, Edward, and Archibald; sisters, Alfreda LeBlanc-Mayo, Pauline Brezet, Louise Robichaud, Blanche Pothier-LeBlanc, and Marie Pothier. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth, and there was no visitation. A funeral mass was celebrated at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
