Passed on: September 29th, 2013

LANDRY, Donna Ann – age 65, Wyman Rd., Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born July 10, 1948 in Melbourne, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Charlotte (Cottreau) Boudreau. Donna had just retired from her position as custodian at the Tri-County Regional School Board offices. She took a great deal of pride in her job, always adding those extra special touches. She truly saw all of the staff there as members of a big extended family. Donna will be remembered for many things: her big caring heart, her passion, her dedication, her generosity and her charity, but most of all, “Aunt Donna” (as most people knew her), will be remembered for being there for anyone and everyone, whenever they needed her. In Donna’s life, everyone else came first, and she always saw the best in everyone. When she had a bit of spare time, she enjoyed sewing, but was especially fond of working in her flower gardens and taking care of her yard. Donna leaves behind a beautiful and loving family who will cherish their memories, traditions and many life lessons learned from their mother, grandmother and great grandmother…she was our sparkle and we will now be lost without that sparkle. Surviving are daughters, Annette Landry, South Ohio and Bonnie (John) Duffus, Milton Highlands; a son, Kyle (Lori) Landry, St. Catharines, ON, as well as her grandchildren, Aimee Landry; Cale, Ty and Carson Duffus; Trystan and Jillian Landry and a great granddaughter, Aiden Morton. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Florine (Wallace) DeViller, Plymouth; Jackie Boudreau, Forest Glen; Buddy (Agnes) Boudreau, Dianna (Jerry) Highton, Walter Boudreau and Debbie (Mark) Chilvers, all of Ontario. Aside from her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband, James F. Landry. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 Thursday evening. A funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, October 4 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Father Gerald David officiated. Interment followed in the Chebogue Cemetery. Flowers are welcome (and encouraged!). Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
