Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 with his brother Paul by his side, in British Columbia, after a courageous battle with cancer, Percy G. Chafe, age 43 years. Predeceased by his father Percy J. Chafe (2008). Left to mourn his mother Lena Chafe; brothers: Harry (Margie), Paul (Maureen) and sister Anne; nieces Holly, Nicole and Jessica and nephews Alex and Justin. Also leaving an extended number of family and friends in Newfoundland and British Columbia; special friends Carey Walsh (Tammy) and his little “bud” Cody Walsh and Steven Chafe. Cremation has taken place in B.C. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday and Monday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from St. Joseph’s Church, Petty Harbour with inurnment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the CNIB.
