LIVELY, DAVID - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Mr. David Lively, on October, 3 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born to the late Frank and Violet Jessica Lively, on July, 10 1948, in Saint John. He was the loving Husband of 38 years to Pat Lively. David was a self-employed upholsterer. He was an adherent of the Lancaster Baptist Church, where he played shuffleboard on Tuesday afternoon. David was an avid follower of Coronation Street. He travelled extensively with his wife with one of his favorites being Old Orchard Beach. David was a very kind and gentle souled man, whose greatest love were his children and grandchildren, he was an amazing husband and father and a great role model to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. David is survived by his wife of 38 years Pat Lively, son Michael (Jessica) Lively of Saint John, daughter Karyn (Peter) Fillmore of Saint John, his sister Daryl Ann Polley of Saint John, three grandchildren, Adam, Leah, and Grace; a special cousin Nanny Pam, and several other very dear cousins. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Pamela (Paul) Burnside of Grand Bay Westfield, his mother-in-law Lorraine Herrington of Saint John, as well his niece Avery Burnside of Grand Bay Westfield, and nephews Paul (Melanie) Polley of Saint John and Jon (Sarah) Polley of Fredericton.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place Saturday, October 5 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm and Sunday, October 6 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 7 2013, from Fallsview Chapel at 3:00 PM. A reception will follow at the CE Centre of the Lancaster Baptist Church, 87 Church Avenue West. Following cremation interment will take place at Greenwood cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Lancaster Baptist Church, and the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
