MICHAELSON, MABLE EMILY - With sadness the family announces the passing of Mrs. Mable Michaelson, on October 3, 2013 at the St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home. She was the widow Anders R. Michaelsen. Born in Olinville Queens County, on August 2, 1921, she was the daughter of the Late Ernest and Margaret (Miller) Elder. Mable was a retired store keeper for Keirsteads Westfield Country store. She was also a member of the Westfield United Church. Mable is survived by her sons Ernest (Lorraine) Michaelson of Westfield, Norman (Donna) Michaelsen of Saint John, Donald (Irene) Michaelsen of Westfield; daughter Marjorie Walker of Summerside PEI; as well as 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mable was predeceased by her husband Anders Michaelsen, her son Fred and daughter Christene, and her brothers Charles and Leslie Elder.
To honor Mable’s wishes there will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held following cremation on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from the Westfield United Church at 11am. Following the service interment will take place at the Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the charity of donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
