Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the arms of her loving husband, at the P.E.I. Atlantic Baptist Home on Friday, October 4, 2013, of Mary Evelyn Currie (nee Cavanagh) of Charlottetown in her 86th year.
Beloved wife of 63 years to Charles Livingstone Currie. Mother of Cheryl Currie-Lodge (Malcolm), Ernie (Cindy), Gary, Karen, Leslie (Pauline), Wade, Chris and Lori (Darren). Grandmother of Shane, Jenine, Rodney, Steven, Chase, Amanda, Tyler, Evan, Noah and Aaron. Great-grandmother of Kayla, Keaton and Emily. Sister of Mae Sherry, Stella Sobey, Ernest (Jean) Cavanagh, Leona (Ab) Adams and Roma (Jack) Naylor. Predeceased by her parents, James P. Cavanagh and Sarah (Sadie) Cavanagh (nee Currie), and by her sister, Reta Murphy.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. then to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
