The death occurred at MacMillan Lodge on Saturday, October 5, 2013 of Una Rose Glennie (Brooks) at the age of 100 years, with her devoted daughter Velda by her side.
Una lived in Charlottetown and Stratford and was orginally from the O'Leary area. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Wesley Glennie who predeceased her in 1997. She is survived by daughter, Velda Woodington, and friend, Stuart MacEwen; by granddaughters, Andrea Michaud and Rose Gilbert (Steve Luce); by great-grandchildren, Bethany, Tyler and Max; by sister-in-law, Martha Brooks; and by a niece and nephews. Una was the last surviving member of the W.E. and Catherine (Adams) Brooks family.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley Michaud; her son-in-law, Everett Woodington; her brother, Rev. Garland Brooks (Blanche); her sisters, Joy (Melvin) Bridges, Florence (Walter) MacArthur; a niece, Sheila Brooks; and a nephew, Scott Macarthur.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation Thursday from 1:15 until 2:15 p.m.
