RICHARDSON, Amy Florence-age 104 of The Meadows Home for Special Care in Yarmouth, died October 4, 2013 at The Meadows. Born January 28, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Charlotte (Jestings) Gray. Amy was a previous member of Kemptville United Baptist Church, member of the Carleton United Baptist Church, Dominion Life member of Women’s Missionary Society, and taught Sunday school for many years. She was very active in her Church. She is survived by daughter Elsie (Keith) Roberts, Bedford, NS; son Ronald (Carol) Roberts, Kemptville, Yarmouth Co. NS, and stepchildren Ross Richardson, Carleton, NS; Robert (Louise) Richardson, Oshawa, ON; Fred (Mabel) Richardson, Yarmouth, NS and Diane (Percy) Ellis, Carleton, NS. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Predeceased by first husband Elwin Roberts, second husband Donald Richardson, brothers Victor and Everette Gray, sisters Edith Shaw, Helen Gray, Carrie Gray and granddaughter Judy Crowell, step son Clayton Richardson and step daughter Ilene Hennigar. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday October 6th from 7-9 pm from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service was held Monday October 7th at 2:00 pm from the Kemptville United Baptist Church, Kemptville, NS., Rev. Rick Warner officiated. Burial took place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Kemptville, NS. Reception followed. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank the staff of The Meadows for their love and care for Amy over the years.
