KIRKPATRICK ¬– David Paul With sadness we say goodbye to David Paul Kirkpatrick, who passed away on October 4, 2013 at the age of 43 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, after a short but brave battle with cancer. David was born in Cabri, Saskatchewan on November 23, 1969 to Marcene and the late Cyril Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Nicole and their beautiful children Travis and Sarah. Also mourning his passing is his mother and three sisters: Judy Krause (Allen, predeceased), Brenda Kirkpatrick (Darcy) and Karen Stennick (Keith). David will be remembered by his father-in-law Wes Bailey (Judy), sisters-in-law Carol Haas (Edward), Valerie Morey (Glen), Marina Hausauer (Fred), Debbie McConnell (Ian) and brothers-in-law Clifford Bailey (Michele) and Jason Bailey. He was an uncle to a number of nieces and nephews. David also leaves behind many dear friends and extended relatives. David attended school in Cabri and graduated from Swift Current Comprehensive High School. He then pursued welding at SIAST in Moose Jaw and worked as a welder and at various other positions in the oilfield. David was mechanically inclined; he enjoyed fixing and tinkering under the hood and loved to drive which led to his career as a truck driver, owner and operator. He travelled far and near hauling grain and more recently water and oil. Family was everything to David. He had a strong spirit, kind heart and quiet soul. David loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and quading with his family. He was also fond of cooking and reading. In the past, David was a volunteer for the Shaunavon Fire Department. A Celebration of David’s life was held in Shaunavon on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Shaunavon Legion Hall with Funeral Celebrant Bernadette Schneider officiating. The Eulogist was Dean Hedstrom.
