PIKE, JOHN DONALD "DON" - It is with great sadness we announce that John Donald Pike passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Amherst, NS, "Don" was son of the late Henry James and Mary Alma (Boyd) Pike. A former RCMP officer who also worked with Industrial Security and the Corps of Commissionaires, Don was a devoted family man whose compassion and humour was loved by all. Survived by his loving wife Jane A. Pike (nee Moore); daughter Janet Gallant of Saint John; brother James (Hazel) Pike of Fredericton; sister Ruth (Floyd) Smith of Eastern Passage, NS; grandchildren Charlotte Chase, Christine Chase, Alex Gallant and Katie Gallant; sisters and brothers-in-law Hilda Hoyt, Melvin (Rosetta) Moore, Ellen Moore, Shirley (Murray) Scoville, Murray (Rose) Moore, Winston (Tenna) Moore, Mae Nancy (Harold) Fraser, Mary Ann (Fred) Wyllie, David (Bonnie) Moore and Thomas Moore. He was predeceased by son John Donald Pike Jr; son-in-law Terry Gallant; brothers in law George Moore and Alton Hoyt.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A celebration of life will be held from North Side Assembly (363 Millidge Ave, Saint John) on Friday, October 18 at 10:00 AM.
