Gallant, Ferdinand (Ferdie) – The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 of Basil Ferdinand “ Ferdie ” Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Ferdie was born on June 10th , 1930 in Duvar, P.E.I. to his late parents, John “ Jack ” and Julia Gallant. Survived by his son Rocky ( Sherry ) of Summerside and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ferdie was predeceased by his brothers Joseph ( Irene ) , Thomas, Ray, Stanley and Elmer ( Wanda ) and his sisters Margaret, Noreen ( Camille ) and Dora ( Art ). Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, October 16th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside . Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service on Wednesday morning.
