Peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Prince Edward Home on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, of Mrs. Gloria McKenna of Charlottetown, age 88 years.
Beloved wife of Reid McKenna and dear mother of Ginny (Bob) Gardham, Pat (Dave) Campbell, Cindy (Peter Buker), Mike (Patty Smollett), Linda (Rick) Dumont, Donna, Jim (Cathy MacDonald), Rosemary (Damon Compton) and Scott (Collette Slade). She is also lovingly remembered by her 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her sisters: Shirley MacRae, Helen Blancaflor; and brothers: Ken (Ann) MacDonald and Wayne (Pat) MacDonald. She was predeceased by her parents, Emmett and Teresa Evangeline (Van) MacDonald; sisters: Vernita Pastorelli, Marilyn MacDonald; and brother, David MacDonald.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Gloria’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. or the Children’s Wish Foundation.
