Passed peacefully away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Oct. 10, 2013, Mr. Harvey Compton of Englee, NL in his 81st year. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memoires his sons Eric (Leona) Compton, South Brook, and Wayne (Justina) Compton, Englee; daughters Jackie (Guy) Andrews, Englee, Donna (Eugene) Hopkins, Englee, Arlene (Ralph) Talbot, Englee, Nicole (Glen) Andrews, Englee, and Tracy (Chris) Breen, Englee; brothers Wifred Compton, Burgeo, and Maxwell Compton, Burgeo; sisters Alma Noseworthy, New Brunswick, Telsie (Gordon) Pick, St. John’s, and Helen (Harry) Kung, Calgary, Alberta; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one special grandson William, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Bessie Compton, father Lemuel and mother Ida. Visitation took place at the Salvation Army Church in Englee from where the funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13 with Major Baggs officiating. Interment followed in the Salvation Army Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre funeral homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
