Ulysse Leger
LEGER, ULYSSE A. - 1943 - 2013 - Ulysse A. Leger, 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. He was formerly of Portage. Born on September 30, 1943 in Portage, he was the son of the late Antonin and Baselice (Cormier) Leger. Prior to his retirement, Ulysse was a school teacher for District 13 in Shediac, Cap-Pelé, Shemogue and Cocagne. He was a member with the Golden Age Club and the Knights of Columbus in Cap-Pelé. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Simonne (Gallant) Leger; two children: Juliette Arsenault (Mark Barrett) and Eric Leger (Vonda) both of Cap-Pelé; four grandchildren: Joël, Samuel, Danica and Chanel. Ulysse was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by an infant son, Joseph and a brother, Valerie.
The will be no visitation prior to the funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé, Saturday October 19, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Ulysse, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or Ste-Thérèse d’Avila cemetery would be appreciated.
