Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, October 17, 2013 of J. Stephen Baird, of Websters Corner and Auburn, age 74 years.
Beloved husband of Pauline Baird (nee Hughes) and loving father of Marlene Baird (Brian), Edward Baird (Lisa) and Stephen Baird Jr. (Angela). Stephen is also survived by grandchildren - Richard, Dylan, Garnett, Natalie, Ashley and Kristine Baird; and brother - Vincent Baird (Kay). He was predeceased by his infant daughter - Ann Marie; his parents - Tyrell and Catherine Baird; brother - Rev. Edward Baird; sister - Rita Laverty; and brother-in-law - Elmer Laverty.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Friday, October 18, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 19, at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick's Cemetery Fund or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.
