BASS, BRENDA RHETA - (1953 - 2013) - Mrs. Brenda R. Bass of North Head Grand Manan Island passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 with her husband Robert at her side. She was born in Campbellford, ON the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ella (Chretien) Noble. Brenda received her degree at Loyalist College in Bellville ON, from there she went on to work as a professional care giver to those with special needs for most of her working life. Always able to help others with their needs with special care and attention which she will always be remembered for. She enjoyed travelling and would always make time to find a pool to enjoy a swim. Over many years, many games of Ramoli were played with friends, always having fun and enjoying the lighter side of life. She will be remembered for her generosity towards others and her quiet strong presence and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Robert, two sons; Jonathan (Silva Green), and Lawrence (Kelly) Bass, both of North Head, tTwo sisters; Ruth “Theresa” (George) Turcotte, and Lori Noble both of Campbellford, ON, five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one son Christopher, one grandson Blaire, one sister Margaret “Peggy” Holmes, and her brother George Noble.
Visiting will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, North Head on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dana Dean officiating, assisted by Lay Minister Lou Daigle, and Rev. Ron Ford. The interment will follow at the North Head Cemetery. Brenda’s family has requested donation may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
