We, the family of Gerald Serroul, announce his passing on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was a son of the late John and Alounda (Alderson) Serroul. Gerald was a retired miner.
Gerald is survived by his brother, Douglas; sisters, Bessie (Frank Romeo), Sydney Mines, Isabel (Eric Roy), New Brunswick, Mary (Bill Mitchelitis), Sydney Mines; as well as grandchildren, Crystal (Troy Carroll) and Lisa (Philip LeBlanc).
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Helen on Aug. 22, 2013; son, Lawrence Thomas and brothers, George and John Robert.

Cremation and a private family service has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
