Suddenly at his home in Toronto, Ont., on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, of Clifton Edward Harper, formerly of Tignish, age 70 years. Born on Jan. 15, 1943, he was the son of the late Howard and Brenetta (nee MacIntyre) Harper. He is survived by his siblings, Kevin (Eileen) of Toronto; John of Alberton; Charlie (Marie) of Tignish; Catherine (Vernon) Gaudette of Tignish; Irene Perry of Tignish; Frances Anne (late Reginald) Shea of Pleasant View. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Pauline Harper of Halifax, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Mary Doyle, Helen LeClair, Reta Callaghan, Frank Harper and Ray Harper. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visitation by personal request. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Brendon Gallant celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
