SAUNDERS, VICTOR - It is with great sadness that the family of the late Victor Mitchell Saunders announce his passing on Sunday, October 20, 2013 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born in Harvey Station, New Brunswick on March 10, 1954. He was the son of the late Harry and Verna (Hickey) Saunders. He leaves behind two sons, Mitchell (Tammy) of Westlock, Alberta and Andrew of Stony Plain, Alberta and grandchildren, Bradley, Steven, Samantha, Emma, Hailey and Abbi. He is survived by brothers, Ronnie (Shirley), Darcy (Jean), Owen (Jean), Chris (Cheryl), sisters, Dorothy Bird (Roy), Brenda Swan (Stuart), Harriet Townes (Clyde), two sisters-in-law, Janet and Susan and a brother-in-law, Lester Fraser. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Emerson and Curtis and a sister, Uta Fraser. Victor lived in Tweedside for much of his life before moving to Alberta. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. His favourite pastime was being at the camp with the "boys".
