Passed away into peaceful rest at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s on Oct. 14, 2013 after a struggle with illness, Mr. Garland Wilson Weir of Roddickton, NL in his 67th year. Garland leaves behind with a lifetime of loving memories his wife of 37 years Patricia; his son David (Annie-Mae); daughter Helga (Scott Parsons); grandson Jordan Weir; granddaughter Amber Weir; four sisters and one brother. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Temple in Roddickton, from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on the Saturday, Oct. 19 with Pastor G. B. Pinksen officiating. Burial followed the funeral service in the Roddickton Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
