
Shirley Wile
WILE, Shirley Phyllis – aged73 of Bridgewater, formerly of Nictaux, passed away, Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Middleton she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Shipley) Melanson. Shirley enjoyed going to yard sales, watching the yachts in Chester and spending time with Sheldon. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley is survived by daughters, Susan (Terry) Parks, Nictaux and Sharon Harris, Middleton; sons, James Wile, Halifax and Andrew (Carla) Wile, Nictaux; sisters; Daisy (Bob) Corbett, Woodstock, ON; Evelyn Taylor and Barbara (Dennis) Robicheau, both of Nictaux and brother, Johnny (Mary Jane) Melanson, Nictaux; long - time companion, Sheldon Cahoon, Mill Village; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Wile; daughter, Katherine Mapplebeck; sisters, Mary, Annie and Helen; brothers, George, Fred and Charles “Chickie”. By Shirley’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation was held Monday, October 28, 2013 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448 where the memorial service was held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery. A reception for family and friends was held in the Nictaux Fire Hall following the service. By request, family flowers only.
