Born in Long River on October 6, 1919, daughter of the late Reigh and Fannie (MacDonald) Paynter. Wife of the late Stanford W. Carr and special friend of the late Alton Bell. Mother of Kenneth (Rhonda) Carr, New Annan, and special friends Mary (late Lea) Bell and Laura (Bill) Pidgeon who were raised like Kenneth's brother and sister. Gram to Melanie (Shawn) Green, Central Bedeque, and Stanford Carr (Sherry Goudie), New Annan. Great-Gram to Mallory and Michael Green, Aaron Carr and Kristen Goudie. Sister of Charles (Jean) Paynter and Glynn (Connie) Paynter. Sister-in-law of Bessie Paynter, Gertrude Paynter MacDonald, Katherine (Joe) Richards, Wilda Paynter, Orville Dawson, Jean Burt, Betty Carr, Fannie Roberts and Marion Buell. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Pearl (Morley) Crozier, Marjorie (Colin) Burt, Hazel (Ivan) Somers, Joyce Dawson, Hollis MacDonald, Norris, Walter, Alfred, Arthur, Ivan, James (Marjorie) and Lowell (Esther) Paynter, Gladys (Lorne) Dunning, Annie (Ray) Douglas, Hazel (Cecil) Ferguson, Earl (Christine) Carr, Eric Carr, Nelson Roberts and Garnett Buell and Alton's son, Eric Bell. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment in Kensington People's Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to Kensington People's Cemetery Fund or St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery Fund. Members of the Kensington Lt. Col. E.W. Johnstone Branch #9 Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service of rememberance at the funeral home Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
