It is with great sadness we announce the passing of William "Bill" Gordon Whyte on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Royal Inland Hospital, in Kamloops, British Columbia.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon; daughters Lori and Shauna (Norm) Wojak and son Brad (Megan), grandchildren Danielle, Kayla, Liana, Hunter, Scotia, adopted grandson Josh Spink and great-granddaughter Zoe. He will be sadly missed by his sister Norma (Blake) Price and brothers in-law Robert Black, Laverne (Ruth) Clary and sister-in-law Janice Werbenuk. Bill will be remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his parents William Gordon and Edna, his brothers Gary and Jim and his sister-in-law Aileen Black.

He was born in Grandview, Manitoba on August 28, 1945. Early on in life he developed a passion for the great outdoors, which he never lost. He was a true sportsman - fishing and hunting were definitely his game.

A pipefitter by trade he worked for Gulf Refinery and retired as a maintenance specialist for Petro Canada.

Bill and his soul-mate Sharon enjoyed 47 years together of happy marriage. Raising their family was their greatest enjoyment in life.

Though he will forever be missed,
he has left us with a lifetime of memories, and a legacy of love.

A private family graveside memorial will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, November 7th, 2013. An open reception will follow at 1:30 p.m.
