It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Eva Marie Bourgeois, age 88, of Lower Maccan. Eva passed away at Victoria Manor where she had been residing on Sunday, November 3, 2013.
Born in Lynn Mountain, NS, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Eliza Lewis.
She was a full time homemaker, who loved her family dearly, and enjoyed all social activities. She was most happy when she was surrounded by family members. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, and the River Hebert Senior Citizens Club.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Dara (Darlean) of Lower Maccan; 3 grandchildren, Jason, Lower Maccan, Neil, his wife Rachel, their children Jordan and Jackson, Summerside, PE and Melanie, her husband Owen Morey, their daughter Emily, Lower Maccan; brothers Ross of Amherst, Clarence (Doreen) of Lower Maccan.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ernest; sisters Ida Holland, Annie Eagles, Elsie Gogan and Nellie Eagles; brother Aaron Lewis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst where visiting hours will take place on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at 2 pm, Father Philip Thibodeau officiating. Burial will take place in the Lower River Hebert Cemetery.
