Arnold Joseph Devoe passed away in his sleep on the 6th Nov 2013 at North Side General Hospital - he was 91 years of age.
Arnold was born in Sydney Mines where he grew up and later worked in the mines until he retired. He
enjoyed the outdoor life and some of his happiest times were at his cottage on the Bras d'Or Lakes.
Arnold is survived by his daughter Maureen; sons Joseph, Kevin and Adrian; grandchildren Carolyn, Jimmy, Craig, Dawn, Kimmi, Jennifer, Angela, Addie and Ben along with 12 great grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Margaret “Maggie” in 1986.
Funeral service will be held on Friday the 15th Nov 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines followed by a reception at the Holy Family Parish Hall. Family members will attend a private burial.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home.
