Brown
Gerald (Gerry) Mackenzie Brown - 53 years formerly of Trinity, Bonavista Bay passed peacefully away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Lake Ridge Health Centre, Oshawa, Ontario. Gerry joined the Canadian Armed Forces at age eighteen and served for twenty six years. He then served overseas after his retirement. Although he spent most of his life away from home his heart was always in Newfoundland. Predeceased by his grandparents; Jacob and Stella Brown and Horatio and Agnes Cutler. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughter; Jennifer Brown of Corner Brook, his parents; Gerald and Selena Brown of Trinity, two sisters; Iona (Barry) Wells of Trinity and Judy (Dean) Button of Courtice, Ontario and his nieces; Stephanie and Samantha Button and a large circle of other family and friends. A service celebrating Gerry’s life took place on November 4, 2013 at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. David Coffin officiating. Interment followed from the Anglican Church cemetery, Trinity. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.
