BLAKE, ALEXANDER - Alexander "Alex" W. Blake, 57, of Campbellton NB (formerly of Black Point, NB) passed away after a long fight with cancer, on November 11, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 11am, Friday November 15, 2013, at Bethel United Church in Nash Creek, NB. Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Alex was born May 14, 1956 in Edmundston, NB to William and Alice (MacIntosh) Blake. He attended Dalhousie Regional High School and went on to serve in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a school bus driver for many years. He enjoyed his work and was always busy with many different projects, whether it be mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or farm related. He loved people, life, and he lived each day to the fullest. His illness only recently slowed him down. Cancer certainly met it's match when it met Alex. He raised the bar in his fight against cancer. A special thank you to the Palliative Care Nurses at Campbellton Regional Hospital for all their care and support. Alex is survived by his granddaughter Blake, daughter Vanessa, son Michael, partner Rachel, mother Alice, sisters Mary and Mabel, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
